Hi Everybody, I am OCI card holder, living in Switzerland for more than a decade now. I am interested in buying land for teak plantation but my understanding after reading some blogs is that OCI card holders are not legally allow to buy any farmland! Is that true, if yes, is there any work-around? Any information on current land price (per hectare/acre), teak cut logs price and demand and supply in India will be highly appreciated.

i m raj kacheria from mumbai i m into cultivation of acacia mangium (australian teak) in india 150 kms from mumbai i have planted 110000 tree in 150 acres of my own farm land. yes you cant buy agriculture land in india. but you can buy a pvt. ltd. company which is holding farming land that way u can own farming land. the rate for teak is anything between Rs.400/cft. to 4000/cft. the land rate ranges anything for rs 50000/ acre in south india to .... sky is the limit near developed city.
