TRICHODERMA ORGANIC MANURE
Trichoderma is an antagonistic fungus that restricts growth of harmful fungi in the soil. Mixing trichoderma in organic manure has several advantages.
1. It helps to control cardamom katte disease and banana buncy top.
2. Pepper wilt, areca yellow disease, bud rot, stem bleeding, etc. can be kept under check
3. It also help to control fungal diseases in vegetables, flower crops and fruit crops. It is effective in management of ginger rhizome rot as well.
Almethison, thermatin, trichodermin, acetaldehyde are some of the antibiotics released by the trichoderma in the soil. These give protection to the roots by covering them and prevent harmful fungi from growing.
Trichoderma is an ecofriendly biological fungicide containing spores and conidia of mycoparasitic fungi Trichoderma viride, having 2 X 108 colony forming units (CFU) per gram.
Trichoderma when introduced along with seeds or at root zone protect the seedlings from attack by soil borne pathogens that cause root / collar / stem rots, wilts, damping offs, leaf blights spots etc. and promote healthy growth in early stages of crop.
Vigorous growth of biological trichoderma viride fungicide overshadows the pathogenic fungi, who are overpowered and prevented from infecting the plants. Before pathogens attempt infection via germinating seeds or roots they can be suppressed and controlled by various methods.
