Dr. Ganesan Karunakaran is the Principal Scientist and Head In charge , ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research in Hirehalli, Tumakuru, Karnataka. Presently he is working on jack fruit, dragon fruit and avocado and other exotic fruit crops. He says they can guide farmers take up cultivation of these crops.

Sir, I came to know there is a jack fruit in Tumkur is name has SIDHU HALLASU which is in great demand for its texture and I also came to know that ICAR is selling those plants so my request is can I have some more information about this plant as I am planning to buy some plants for my land in Bidadi
