purchase of land in karnataka

Hi,

My husband is trying to buy a coffee plantation with a a piece of wetland in karnataka.

I heard that there is a provision that unless u have wetland you cannot buy a wetland in karnataka.

I basically belong to tamil nadu. My father and grandfather had agricultural lands in tamil nadu which we sold latter.

Is it possible that we can show this as evidence for purchase of land in my husband name, or is there any other way.

Please offer your advise.

with regards,

akshaya

you can purchase ..

Hello akshayaji
you can buy land, you should have the PaANNI of your old land ,if not show your old documents and make one certificate[that you belong to agricluture family] based on your tamilnadu land,
even i faced this problum ,karnataka govt should remove this kind of rule, there is no law which says that you can not become a farmer.
all this best.
