Horticulture at 4000 ft altitude

HI Friends, we have about 2 acres land in Palampur in Himachal Pardesh at 4000 ft altitude. Palampur has mild weather in summer and very cold in winter. Rainfall is ample and it is considered tea capital of North India. Max temp in summer goes to 35 degree and in winter is goes down to about 2 degrees.

We are planning to beautify our land and built a weekend home. We are planning to plant few fruit bearing trees, some flowers - seasonal and all year around And few ornamental trees / plants to beautify our land. Can anyone suggest varities for above. Please mention Indian names too.

best trees for your climate are cherry, almond, plums
u can plant ornamental plants like Tulip, callla lily, rose, carnation, gladiolus.
