POINTS FOR PONDERING
PIRANDAI - wild crop having multiple medicinal application,especially for Heart and Bone
Available in TN and Andra, around 2000 tons of material collected, Annually.
Being exported as Crude / Extracts, mostly to USA, one can think of setting up of a unit for extraction in Madurai
Presently no exaction unit in Tamilnadu
Pirandai extracts is converted as popular Health drink in USA, We in INDIA may come out with such a health Drink.
Being a very good crop, we have to promote cultivation.
TACED is keen to promote for setting up of an extraction plant on JV.
