Mr. Anand Jain,Managing partner, Jeevan Herbs & Agro Farms says-

I don’t think that the real needy/poor are benefited from this bill, and it seems more political. It is not good for agriculture. We can learn more from the system in AMUL in Anand,Gujarat as to how they have improved the production, quality and market and also spread happiness amongst the poor.

Mr. M.K.Shajath Ali Managing Partner, says-

People only from middle and below middle depend on PDS, and the system has to be strengthened. I am happy if the food is given free instead of wasting in the hands of store keepers. We can't say India is a developed nation as long as one portion of Indians stands in queue the entire day just for want of food in the ration shop.

Mr. Sudharshan, says-

[14:50:26] Shweta VMG: No, because in 1st place it is vote ban politics and in the 2 instance a man happens to be poor because of sloth and inefficiency, doing unproductive work and trying for easy money. Most the rural people are migrating to cities and towns to seek easy method of earning, than to toil in farm under harsh conditions. This is not at all appreciated at any level. Never would I be in favor of such a bill and no person with proper senses would.

Mr.B.N. Ravindra says-

I feel it is only the working class that pays taxes regularly and honestly and hard earned money being paid as taxes from a majority of the population should not be wasted just to satisfy the political needs. It is said that “work is Worship”. If people are offered free food then the following issues crop up:

1. People become lazy and laggards
2. They don’t feel necessity to earn their daily bread and in turn the cost of labor increases multifold and which in turn raises the cost of production and small to medium farmers shall face the brunt of it since they have to depend on paid labor for farm operations.

Free food should be provided to poor growing children who are in need of proper nutrition to make them able citizens, and the elderly abandoned people who can’t take care of themselves. It should not be offered free at any cost to healthy adults who are capable of working and earn on their own. It can be offered provided some work is extracted from them in return for food.

Sameer A.Sirdeshpande (Lingdhal) says-

No human being in the world should suffer from hunger is my basic principle. Basically government should bring in some strict laws to control population as in case of china.
Myself being a farmer sincerely feel that Govt. should stop giving subsidies to farmers which is being mis-utilized by both farmers & Govt. officials to the maximum extent. Intern Govt. should think of some alternatives where in both farmers are benefited/encouraged and the ghost called “CORRUPTION” is eradicated. Instead of giving substandard quality of farm inputs at subsidized rates in various departments, Govt. should bring a proper plan of work and implement “STANDARDISED PRICING” of all agriculture commodities.

Mr. Biswaranjan Mohanty Says-

No. It will not solve the problem but it will aggravate the problem.
For the last so many years Govt. Of Odisha is offering Rs.1 per KG rice to rural people. Due to this it has created a serious problem for the farm sector. People are becoming lazy as they are getting almost free food. It is difficult to find labours in rural area. Even if you get few labours in rural area, their daily wages are exuberantly high, which leads to cost of production for farming is very high. Most of the time the rate of returns are negative. Due to this farmers are reluctant to do farming any more. They are trying for alternate profession like service, business, trading etc.

This is the only reason we are seriously thinking to gradually stop all our paddy cultivations and convert them for fruits and timber tress which will be requiring less labour, less maintenance, less investment and less prone to calamity like flood, rain, and cyclone.
