Hi Ravi,

What kind of business you are in. Do you had any bad experience in EMU farming. I saw your previous posts in this forum. If you can share your Emu farming expereince with us, that will help us.

Best Regards,

EMU farming seems to be a PONZI scheme. Google PONZI.

All I hear is farmers selling the EMU chicks to other farmers! For what?
Nobody is eating their eggs nor the meat! Forget the oil!

Tell me one restaurant you went to which served EMU meat.
Even if you ate it, do you know how 'tough' the meat is and how expensive? Do you think Indians are going to change their dietary habits?
Even in Australia these birds are not considered a delicacy!

Why should farmers buy the chicks in the first place? So that they can sell the chicks to other farmers who want to start just like them. It is a never ending vicious cycle where gullible people enter after they are promised AMAZING returns! If you really want to raise birds go for a poultry farm.

There are a lot of EMU farmers in Andhra around Hyderabad. You can talk with them and get even better feedback.

Profit and Loss

Hi rockey,

I have already mentioned a few pitfalls regarding emus in my previous post.
Please do tell us about your farm.

How you are managing it? What you are doing with the birds? What is your input COST and how much profit you EXPECT to make and how do you PLAN to make this profit/amount?

Please share with us some of your positive experiences.

I would appreciate any positive experience to be shared here. May be the peoples who are offering help / eggs to setup the emu farm can help.
