Can i buy Plantation Land ?

I recently got to know that a Non-Agricultural background person cannot buy a agricultural land in Karnataka.

Is this true?

I also read somewhere that the above said rule has excemption only for Plantation lands. (Which means anyone can buy)

Please help me with details.

you can surely buy any type of land , but there are certain rules that there is some extent to pocess means certain limits of acres for a particular person, for example nityannand swamy had 21 acres in his own name, so the govt weants to take actions since he is having excess.

Can anyone buy a coffee estate? Even if he/she is a non agriculturalist.
Can anyone please tell me how much would an acre of coffee plantation cost in chikmagalur, mudigere or gonibeedu. I am not very particular about connectivity to the town/village.

As far as i know non -agriculture background people cannot buy wet lands. We can only buy plantation land.
