virus free G-9 saplings
Dear Reddy,
I am not aware whether cadila people are still having arrangements or facility for selling TC banana plants.About 5 years ago they had facility of storing and maintaining plants near doddaballapur. Now many labs are selling.
What is important is all TC labs are supplying same G-9 banana material but one has to study how they are maintaining them disease free after it leaves lab. Since it can get infested with deadly viruses easily if maintainance is bad, which I saw in cadila storage farm.
Next one should know how often virus indexing is done and for how many viruses. Generally labs do for a couple of viruses that too once in a blue moon, believing that the protocol helps them to assure.This can not be checked.
In any case one should follow certain practices, injections or plant protection methods to control the virus spread in the field. If you are planning 20 acres it is better to ask a good consultant who is good/experienced at controlling viruses and diseases as good lot of investment is to be made( 20 lacs for cultivation itself. But now it is really profitable)

i am very surprising about patil analysis about cadila banana saplings.cadila is a one giant in human health management for many decades of experience.I am not related to cadila in any respect.Mr reddy asked about the Cadila lab.I am being a consultant its my primary duty to provide information to farmers.One thing I want to say here i am also dealing G9 TC banana saplings with me.But i dnt want entrust the farmer .I think the cadila people knows the drawbacks like virus eradication of banana better than hortuiculturist & consultant because the cadila people having strong R&D for years to gether.they are having somany horticulturists aswellas consultants .I think they will offer all type of supports from plantations to harvest.So reddy please gohead.Your decesion is good and well.
