Bio-Diesel Plant

I want to start up an Bio-Diesel plant from Jatropha cultivation on a small scale of around 3,000 litres/day of fuel. Can anyone tell me what investment would be required and what is the scope of this business ahead? What profits can I expect?

3000liters/day or you need 3mts of oil/day or 100Mts/month.
100x12 1200mts of crude oil possible if you have 3500-4000mts of seeds/annum.

You may have to invest at an average of Rs20000/annum if you are going for leased land to acquire 3500-4000mts of seeds at average of two mts/care and you need a land extent of just 1800acres or 720hectares.

You may not be getting Jatropha seeds less tha Rs12/kg for another few years and the oil@Rs42/kg.

You may just start with either of the above three formats and Iam sure you calculate the cost of the project which run into some crores that is all.
You may get good feedback online from Microsoft group on oils and seeds based on Malaysian culture.

Well, that was very much helpful. Thanks. What you think about the future of Jatropha Bio-diesel? Considering huge demand of oils and jatropha being environment-friendly, i personally think it has nice potential but as you have pointed production cost of bio-diesel is already high compared to current market prices. Is govt. providing any help by subsidizing or any other schemes? Also any loan schemes from govt.?

None of us including me have been succesful in this Biodiesel business.

Our Govts will offer Mixie, Wet grinder, Sarees and some rice for people below poverty line.
For innovative businesses like Biodiesel our Govts will provide free cemetery for ceremation to people like me and thousands of acres for naidus and Reddys.
Our Politicians are fighting busy their own shadows.

Bloody banks in India will not fund innovative projects of long term benefits rather they will fund Muthoot and Jos alukkas for selling GOLD.

I warn you!
Do not get trapped into this business.
Iam myself a victim to lose about forty lakhs and indeed working somewhere to pay salaries for my workmen.

Biodiesel in India is a Gallow for many of us!!!!!
I want to seek some help from Anna and his Thamby Babu ramdev.
Its time to go for UAE and beg for some help to keep the petroleum alive for thousand more year.
This is my personnel experience so far in the last seven years fight against petroleum.
