Hi,

Would you pls revert me with the proper guidance on Manjium plantations alongwith buying & selling estimates over few years to make rpfoit from this plantation... I am sure, you must have already work on the buying-growing till selling and making profit study.

I have some 1 acre land in Maharashtra and willing to adopt Manjium plantations .. if it is profitable business in short/long term basis.

I have some 1 acre land in Maharashtra and willing to adopt some fast making farming/plantations .. if it is profitable business in short/long term basis.

Can some of you guide me as I am very new to the farming ... and there are different people coming up with unpracticed ideas .. which I can't trust and understand

Plantation

Instead of Manjium you may go for the cultivation of MELIA DUBIA, the fastest growing tree, used for various purposes, is anti-termite by itself.It gives good returns in 7-8 years.

Mangium cultivation

Dear sir,

the cultivation of mangium is good choice.But it takes minimum 10 years.So its just like longterm investment aswell as cultivation.By pting the and planting the mangium if its tissue culture you may get some assured income on completion of 10 years i.e Minimum Rs 10000/-per tree.At the same time if you feel the span cultivation is so long the alternate tree plantation is als availiable.It is very nice nice plantations.The name of the tree is Gmelina Arborea(Kumil).Its very fast growth tree in the world.maximum cultivatin period is 5 to 6 years.its purely timber value tree.And also it is alternate to teak .Its poorman teak.What teak tree dos the Gmelina arborea will do incheaper price.On completion 5 to 6 th years the yield will be Minimum Rs 5000?- per tree.One acre will requires nearly 250 plants.
