Hi Swamy,

Thanks for your info about likely increase in rates for milk procurement from Farmers/dairies. As our other friend has comented, pl translate the entire text from Kannada to English as very few kannadigas are into this forum.

Hope your info comes true from Saturday onwards as mentioned by you. By any chance, do you have any info about the subsidy of Rs.2/- per ltr to be given by the govt. to farmers which is pending since july 2011 (6months) and if the said amount is released, it will be of great help to the dear farmers/dairy owners.

Thanks & Regards,

I don t think that dairy people will give us Rs. 2.5/- Hardly they may award dairy farmers Rs.0.50 to Rs.1.00 only.

Thanks.

Meaning is Rs.2.5 to 3 rupees hike for one liter milk is announced by KMF for Karnataka Milk producing Farmers.

Do you know what are the real problems in maintaining cattle today? No free of cost dry grass or fodder today.
No security for investment either.
These increases may facillitate the feedstock suppliers to loot some more money and the farmers as usual the spectators.

unfortunately, sacrifce is a kind of joke for many in Karnataka.
The farmers do not need any mercy from KMFs but a healthy atmosphere to continuue interest in dairy farming that is all.

The Karnataka governement never done anything purposefully for enhancing the life style of dairy farmers.
I need not learn any lectures from Reddys and their YES team here since i am myself a victim of losing 19 milk yielding cows since five years due to diseases.

Its good to look at a brave future instead of pasting un wanted paper cuttings here.
Bhadrinath.
