Thank you very much for the valuable information you are sharing on this forum. I am a researcher, I am not able to find reliable information on medicinal plant cultivation in India. I saw your posting in 2005, so I wonder if you have more information. I have heard that there is plenty of contract farming going around here and there in the country, Himalaya says they get 75% of raw material from cultivation. I am doing research in Kerala, there is not much cultivation going on there. Can you please let me know if you have any recent information on commercial medicinal plant farming (apart from the NMPB subsidy projects), or what is the right source to locate this information. Thank you very much in advance,

    Dr. C. Kudlu

    HI Satya

I have a number of enquiries - one of my clients is looking for an essential oil high in phenylethylalcohol - and according to James Duke Tagetes minuta is one of these but I cantfind any supporting info. Rose would be prohibitively expensive. Can you advise? My email is hazel@mactavishwest.co.uk

I am also interested in opportunities for production of hard to source/expensive herbals and oil crops for a specific client.

looking forward to hearing from you
    Dr Hazel MacTavish-West
