Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth can be used as a barrier to control adult beetles, mites, cockroach, slugs, snails etc...

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a form of silica that can kill insects by desiccation, by absorbing their waxy, oily, outer layer. When this thin, waterproof layer is damaged, the insect or insect egg loses water and dies. DE also has microscopically razor sharp edges, which works as an abrasive sandpaper to kill the insects. This killing action is a mechanical not pesticidal one.

It is extensively used in the west by organic farmers.

I am not sure where it is avaiable in India, but you could research the availability on the net.

Check the FAQ's of daily dump

Hi ranchan,

Just google for an organization called daily dump. Go through their web site.
They are experts in converting the daily kitchen waste into Manure.

Hope that helps.

Seshu
