Organic production systems are based on specific standards precisely formulated for food production and aim at achieving agro-eco system which are socially acceptable and ecologically sustainable. Organic farming uses ecological principles as the basis of crop management and animal husbandry.
Codex Alimentaris Commission - a joint body of FAO / WHO defines Organic Agriculture as Holistic Food Production Management System which promotes and enhances health of agro-eco systems including bio-diversity and soil biological activity and emphasizes on use of management practices in preference to use of off-farm synthetic inputs. Organic agriculture is knowledge based rather than input based and aims at optimization rather than maximization.
Organic farming is a crop production method respecting the rules of the nature. It maximises the use of onfarm resources and minimises the use of off-farm resources. It is a farming system that seeks to avoid the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides. In organic farming, entire system i.e. plant, animal, soil, water and micro-organisms are to be protected.

You can do it in a small site in city also. You know one 65 year old busy Doctor cultivating more than 120 variety species including imported in 90X120 site along with 2 bedroom house constructed middle in the site along with his hospital work?

Organic farming is the form of farming that depends on techniques such as plants spinning, green fertilizer, rich compost and scientific insect management.
