Hello,
We are tamil nadu based energy plantation company looking for farmers who can cultivate Beema Bamboo with buy back gurantee?
Bheema Bamboo is mostly used as biomass fuel by power generation companies viz. Shakthi Synergy, Krishnagiri, TN ; HPC , Cachar , ASSAM , etc. ) to produce electricity and not for paper pulp processing purpose .
Tentative rate : same as waste wood used for gasification purpose ( 1500-1800/ MT )
Some hard facts of bamboo procurement policy for pulp processing purpose by most of large paper mills of India .
Sources of procurement :
1.Private sources (Private Plantation, Community Forest, Village Forest etc
Target bamboo varieties : Bamboosa Tulda (Jati), Vulgaris, Balcooa (Bhaluka)
2.Leased bamboo plantations : Govt Land under Forest Deptt, & Autonomous Council located in Assam only
3. Through tenders :
Bamboo Procurement Policy :
1.Gate Purchase System (GPS) (20-30 %) This scheme has been floated to encourage marginal farmers, small traders whereby they can offer/deliver even one truck load of material, collect the payment directly after against the supplies without involvement of any middle man. There is no quantity/contractual obligation, prerequisite for submission of EMD or security deposit, penalties are not applicable on the part of supplier.
Tentative rate Rs 3100-3500/ MT
2.Procurement through Road : ( 40-55 % ) This source is tapped by way of tender. As such, it has an obligation of contractual quantity, security deposit, penalties etc. This source is comparatively more consistent vis-a-vis arrival of GPS..
3.Procurement through Rail :( 18-20% ) This source is a costliest source vis-a-vis road and GPS , as it’s sourced from other states in India . Approx 18-20 % procured from this source from other states .
