Dear Sri Shanmugam garu,
If proper irrigation facilities are available you can take up cultivation of common vegetables like Tomato, Bhendi,Chillies, Bottle gourd, Brinjal , Amaranthus (leafy Vegetable), Pumpkin, French Beans, Cluster beans beans, cow pea, onion etc which are taking 3 to 5 months period in a year, depending up on the duration you can take up crops in succession after harvesting each crop.
For crops like Chillies, tomato, brinjal , onion etc nursery has to be raised one month in advance and for other crops direct seeding can be done.
As you are planning to market your own produce please also encourage near by farmers for continuous supply of vegetables as the land cultivated is 10 acres only.
Crops like Coccinia, Ribbed gourd, Beans , bitter gourd etc can be raised on permanent Pendals.
If the vegetables under shade net and poly houses the yield will be around 40-50 for 1/4th acre.
If you are interested we will prepare a small project report for guidance and for availing crop loan from bank also will be prepared by us for your understanding and for technical guidance.
For shade net and poly houses 50% subsidy on the structures will be available from National Horticulure Board.
Suppose if you take vegetable crop in one season in 10 acres you may incur around 5 to 6 Lakhs , You may be getting around 4-6 lakhs profit on the season of 3-6 months on various crops.
Please constact us for further guidance.
