Vertical farming: Method of increasing yield of vegetable crops > 30 times within same land area.

1. BENEFITS: Grow enough food on your roof top or small farms (< 0.50 acres) to feed a family of 4 people organically and in an in-expensive manner!!
2. THE CONCEPT: Demand for food is on the rise on one hand but land under cultivation is slowly reducing as farmers do not find farming lucrative anymore. Farming globally is carried out 2 dimensionally – length by breadth. Nature does farming in 3 dimensions. The third dimension is to go vertical!! Why not embrace this to augment production > 30 rimes within the same land area??!!
It is ideal for urban agriculture and if well planned, a few cylinders can actually feed a family of four people through out the year!!

hello sir

Vertical farming is a form of vertical gardening.
In Vertical gardening The modular system is simple and easy to use and can be tailored to fit any available space. The completely enclosed growing module with built in irrigation creates a very efficient way to grow plants vertically.

Vertical gardening and green buildings have become the "in thing" as we all look to a greener future. Until now, vertical gardening systems have been very expensive, often engineered on a large scale. Vertical Garden offers landscapers and home gardeners alike an affordable solution to going vertical.

A list of ecological and economical advantages:
- natural surplus value
- temperature insulation
- sound insulation
- reduction of rainwater run-off
- improvement of water quality
- improvement of air quality
- upgrading the lifespan of walls
- upgrading the fire safety

Several layers make the vertical garden:
1. the metal frame or supporting structure. A durable, non-rotting construction
capable of supporting all the weight.
2. boards made of recycled materials form a water-repellend surface.
3. the irrigation system.
4. two layers of a geotextile are tightened on the surface. The textile is
partially composed of recycled materials.
5. Plants are according to the design planted into the geotextile. The
planting distances are respected, allowing them to grow to their full
size.
6. With the construction of an indoor vertical garden, but also with
certain outdoor vertical gardens, the installation of a small gutter is
necessary. This gutter will take away excess water not absorbed by
the plants.
