Vertical farming: Method of increasing yield of vegetable crops > 30 times within same land area.
1. BENEFITS: Grow enough food on your roof top or small farms (< 0.50 acres) to feed a family of 4 people organically and in an in-expensive manner!!
2. THE CONCEPT: Demand for food is on the rise on one hand but land under cultivation is slowly reducing as farmers do not find farming lucrative anymore. Farming globally is carried out 2 dimensionally – length by breadth. Nature does farming in 3 dimensions. The third dimension is to go vertical!! Why not embrace this to augment production > 30 rimes within the same land area??!!
