Vegetable crops suitable for Rooftop in Tirupati town

Hello,
I am planning to have vegetable crops in 1000 sft on our house rooftop in TIRUPATI TOWN. I will be using plastic containers for this purpose. Please suggest me the suitable crops for the September / October months.

Also include green leafy vegetable and cool season vegetables like Cauliflower, Knol-khol, cabbage etc. For ginger, u r a bit late, but still you can plant and use some mulch material to hasten germination and growth.
