I am looking for a private investor to expand our organic market.
Thank you Michael,
HOP’N HERBS ORGANIC FARM
Hop’n Herbs was founded on the belief that we should always strive to grow the best product we can and act in the best interest of our consumers. Our commitment is to be a sustainable, diversified, organic farm.
We will grow a wide variety of heirloom and non-heirloom vegetables, herbs, and mushrooms year round with hops and currents being our main crop for the fall harvest.
Two 24’ x 100’ hoop houses will provide early season harvests for vegetables, annual & perennial flowers and bulbs. Year round production of vegetables and herbs will also provide produce for our local industry from our hoop houses. Hop’n Herbs outdoor nursery will provide trees and shrubs becoming available in years 3-5 and every year after.
Our organic farm will become a pillar and asset to the Charlevoix/Boyne/Petoskey and surrounding communities by offering great quality produce and products at reasonable prices and by our great public programs such as a community farming program (C.F.P.). Which will offer garden plots for the lower income families, community supported agriculture (C.S.A.) which pays Hop’n Herbs yearly to grow produce for the season, and third, young future farms will educate our youth about the benefits of farming in the new millennium.
We base our investment decisions on M.S.U. research (which is #1 in the country for horticulture), our own hands-on research, and what the market trends in health and agriculture are doing.
Our objective is to maximize returns without taking unnecessary risks. I have done extensive market research to date to make Hop’n Herbs successful and to be a leader I this still young trend of “going green” and “sustainable living” to reduce green house gases and our dependence on foreign oil.
We have come up with a figure of $298,000 to make Hop’n Herbs the organic farm we envisioned within five years. Being diversified allows us to have the staying power to keep on top of trends so Hop’n Herbs will be the leader or major participant in any local agricultural crop we choose to participate with.
Research shows very good returns on investments from years 2 through 5 and beyond. Those figures can be seen on Page 5 of our financials.
