Sub: Capacity Building Training Programme on “Common Guidelines 2008 for WatershedDevelopment Projects” from September 1-7, 2009 – Inviting Nominations – reg.
You may be aware that the National Rainfed Area Authority, Ministry of Agriculture, G.O.I.has brought out the “Common Guidelines for Watershed Development Projects” effective fromApril 1, 2008. All new watershed Projects will be implemented in accordance with these common guidelines. On its part, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development, G.O.I., has
consolidated its various programmes such as IWDP, DPAP and DDP into the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) to be implemented based on the common guidelines. The Ministry has also proposed to impart one week training for National and State level functionaries implementing watershed programmes. In this connection, it is proposed to organize a training programme on the above topic for functionaries associated with watershed programme implementation from line departments like Rural Development/Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry and Extension Functionaries from other organizations from September 1-7,2009 at this Institute. The training programme will be a mix of information sharing on lessons learntfrom past experiences, discussion sessions and field visits. You are requested to kindly nominate one or two suitable officials for this programme in the prescribed format (copy enclosed) to the Head, TOT of this Institute by August 15, 2009.
Participants will be provided free board and lodging. Besides, TA/DA on actual basis as per their entitlement restricted to AC-III tier rail/bus fare will be reimbursed by CRIDA on productionof relevant receipt/tickets for to and fro journeys.
This Institute is located at a distance of 8, 12 and 20 km from Hyderabad and Secunderabad Railway Stations and Airport respectively, at Santoshnagar near I.S. Sadan on Nagarjuna SagarRoad, Hyderabad-500 059.
