To start a Dairy farm

Dear All,
I am Sanket. Although i lack any sort of prior experience , I wish to start my own dairy unit. I wish to know if there are any short courses available which could help me know the details about this particular venture. I also wish to know the economics of the dairy farm management.
It would be highly appreciated if somebody could provide me the relevant details.

Starting dairy farm

Dear sir,

We can start dairy farm with 2 animls to hundres of animals .
For a 10 animal dairy unit ( either cows or buffaloes) you require at least 5.00 to 6.00 Lakhs as each animal cost about 50000/-(minimum).

2-3 acres of land is required for raising fodder crops ( grasses ) like hybrid napier grass.

The capital cost will be Rs.5.00 to 6.00 Lakhs
Recurring expenditure will be Rs.3.50 to Rs.4.00 Lakhs
Income will be Rs.5.25 Lakhs to Rs. 6.25 Lakhs

Net profit will be around 1.00 to 1.50 Lakhs per annum.

If you require any loan from Bank you need to mortgage land or building worth Rs.6.50 to 7.00 Lakhs.

The 10 animal farm require at least two farm workers.
