Hi,everybody. I¨m Alberto from Venezuela, just joined.
I´m very interested in tissue culture, especially on Mango, banana and poinsettia. Can you help with some simple information for beginners? Thanks.

Dear Sir

plant tissue culture technique consists of taking a piece of a plant (such as a stem tip, node, meristem, embryo, or even a seed) and placing it in a sterile, (usually gel-based) nutrient medium where it multiplies to produce undifferentiated callus tissue, multiply the number of plantlets, grow roots, or multiply embryos for artifical seed.

It needs pure hygienic conditions. the crops that u can go for are of course Banana.
It is rarely followed in Mango and poinsettias as in mangao grafting gives far good results. and poinsettias can be easily propagated by cutting.

u can follow this method for orchids, strlitzia reginae, heliconia, gerbera
