Jaw crusher is a large-scaled crushing device in mining industry and owns the characteristics of big crushing rate, high output, even granularity, simple structure, convenient maintenance, low production cost, etc. However, in the working process, some parts of the device will be broken, thus affecting the normal work. To avoid the parts being damaged again, even serious breakdown, we must find out the reasons and solutions for the abrasion, and improve the production efficiency of the device. We will introduce the reasons and solutions for the jaw crusher abrasion below.
Firstly, reasons.
When the jaw crusher works, it is mainly the moving jaw plate that contacts with the materials directly to crush. Therefore, the moving jaw plate always bears bigger pressure. When there are objects which are difficult to crush such as the stones and iron of bigger hardness entering into the crusher, they will be crushed abnormally, even break the inner parts of the machine and hinder the operation of the device.
Secondly, solution.
1. When non-crushed materials enter in to the crushing cavity of the crusher, to protect the important parts of the device from harm, we can use the back thrust plate as the safety part of the crusher.
2. Some back thrust plate are cast as a whole from the casting iron, so cut a strip of groove or several holes to reduce its fracture surface strength. We can cast two pieces, then connect them by bolt to form the thrust plate group.
3. When there are materials that are hard to crush, the machine will be overload. At this time, the crushing force is passed to the thrust plate, then lead to thrust plate fracture or thrust plate group being cut off. Shutting off the machine has an insurance effect.
