Teak tree Destroyed by neighbour

Dear All,

My father planted teak tree in our land(Surrounded) on 27.11.10, which we got through forest office, and after that he found yesterday(30.11.10) all the trees removed by neighbour, its morethen 60 trees and my father also alone now no support because me only one son me also outside india.
in this situation what we will do, where we can approch to take this matter. and yesterday (30.11.2010) itself my father given complain to local police but normally they not taking Seriously

We are in Dharmapuri district in tamilnadu

Please advice us
1. Where to approch and contact to take matter seriously
2. Possible to recover plant cost with Punishment from neibours ?
3. How to re-plant (we can plant again immediatly or wait for some times untill clear the problem)
4. How to avoid in future this type of problem to grow trees ( any safety and responsible from govt)
5. What are the steps need to take, one by one contact to officials

Note: Neighbour intension to do this, they looking to buy land and avoiding to develop us because me out of country but this is my dream, i need to develop, need to put more trees

YOu have to approach the police for help, also contact the forest department officer so that he will give you some suggestion

Govindaraj,

It is sad that your neighbour is a nuisance to you. But, there is a point is his wrong doing like, the teak wood once grown is capable of damaging(will make it dry) other crops that stand beneath/side by the trees atleat for 20 feets coverage. I have witnessed this in our own lands. So please do not plant along the Line of Control. Rather you can plant it inside borders of your land.
