Dear All,

I have 5 acres of land near tiptur, where soil type is stone mix. We have already planted coconut in 1/2 acre and two acre mango trees.

Can anyone advice what is best for plantation on unused land, the most important point i ahve good source of water.

Dear Sir,
The area you have mentioned is good for coconut plantation you do coconut plantation in entire land.
For additional income you can have inter crops , which will increase the coconut yield and get additional income form intrecrop.
Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Krishi Vidyapith at Ratnagiri Maharashtra has developed this technique which is called " LAKHI BAUG " means this garden gives Rs. 1 Lac per acer of this plantation per acre.

lakhi bagh is the method wherin Coconut, arecanut, pineapple, tea, cofee, cocoa, nutmeg, clove etc are planted in such a way that u can achieve per year 1lakh after a certain vegetative period.
