SRI cultivation of rice

Dear all
I have read a lot of success stories of SRI cultivation of rice and ragi ( finger millet). Has any body tried it. Kindly share your experiences.
i am a small farmer with a farm outside Bangalore and I would like to use this method in 1 acre of land on an experimental basis.

Thank You

Dear Laxmi Sarathy,
Very good to see your interest on growing your own food.
I appreciate your interest for growing food grains.

You might know that the chemical farming is contaminated our health, soil as well as atmosphere altogether. In order to reinstate pure health, it is just and necessary for us to adopt natural way of farming to regain health wealth and strength for self as well as our mother earth. You can grow everything what you want to eat at the same time by inter crops which gives more yields and income with low cost of cultivation. Further why you should try fro your food for every often, plan for life not for months or years.

If our expected life is for 100 years than we should have a plan for our food production for 150 years.

Hence, you can try to grow all your agri produce without applying chemicals and fertilizers. You may doubt without application of them how would be the productivity?

You can get more productivity than that of chemical farming if you adopt unique method of farming to meet your healthy food and see the beauty of your rich soil health.
Regards.

SRI cultivation

Dear Madam, System of Rice Intensification ( SRI ) is a new method of rice cultivation for more yield and with minimum use of water, seeds and other expenses.

you can view 3 ( three ) youtube videos of how to grow rice under SRI method.
Go to youtube.com and put " sri vari paddati " in the search column. But the videos are in Telugu but you can understand the method after viewing the videos.
