If you are entirely new to largescale dairying, I advsie you to go for 10 animals to startwith. If you are going for a mixed type of dairy farm. then 5 cows and 5 buffaloes would help your learn dairying practically. After two cycles you can increase the number based on your capacity

How ever if you are from TN you can visit some good dairies in Nellore of AP. Visst the website of De-laval its very educative but the stuff they offer is costly.
