Dear Mr. Kirti,

GOSHALA is a place where cows are looked after. Mainly run by animal welfare trust or temples. Usally, old age cows which stopped yielding milk are donated to goshalas by farmers, if they they do not want to sell it for meat purpose. As a farmer cannot maintain a non yielding cow, he donates it to a care taker.
