search of underground water- methods

To make the issue more clear, I own some 4 acres of land in a remote Tribal village in Betul District of Madhya Pradesh. The land is reddish with lot of stones, there is no source of water. I have an idea in my mind that if I could get some water source there, I will go for plantation of medicinal plants, yield of which can be taken in a span of 4,6or 12months. If the farming is profitable other tribal there will try to follow me and their income will rise. Their financial condition is very bad, I some how want to help them grow better and that is why I wrote to you as to how to search for underground water. I am retired officer of GOI and am not dependent on farming but I want to make experiments in my farm that people there may imitate and grow. This land is my ancestral property.
In the backdrop of above facts, your advice will not only help me alone but will help all those who do not have access to you or any other like institution.
I am awaiting your advice.
Regards,
S.D.Kahaley.

hello sir
To locate groundwater accurately and to determine the depth, quantity, and quality of the water, several techniques must be used, and a target area must be thoroughly tested and studied to identify hydrologic and geologic features important to the planning and management of the resource.
Rocks are the most valuable clues of all. As a first step in locating favorable conditions for groundwater development, the hydrologist prepares geologic maps and cross sections showing the distribution and positions of the different kinds of rocks, both on the surface and underground. Some sedimentary rocks may extend many miles as aquifers of fairly uniform permeability. Other types of rocks may be cracked and broken and contain openings large enough to carry water.

Groundwater is simply the subsurface water that fully saturates pores or cracks in soils and rocks. Aquifers are replenished by the seepage of precipitation that falls on the land.

The Modern age is based on systematically and proved science and technology. If we properly justify, the progress of the world is based on the progress of science and technology. Even Development in rural area and their agriculture is increasing day to day and breaking the records is due to application of research in science and technology.
In this situation and atmosphere we are lowest awaken on the point of Groundwater investigation by wide application of scientific instruments and methods. All of our farmers and educated villagers are closely stick with the local water dowsers and diviners after many time failure and very little success. Farmers do not calculate the difference between the expenses of dowsers and expenses of construction of wells again and again.
If some national or international dowser/diviner is providing the information regarding his services on website without any guarantee any charging fee about Rs.10,000 - 15,000/- , and the farmers are getting services without any hesitation. While the services available through scientific instruments and methods with that much of fees are not well accepted yet. If the petroleum from the underground depth of 1500-2000 meters (5000-6000 feet) is being explored by modern science and technology, then investigation of ground water is very easy by the scientific way if the farmers and villagers initiate and cooperate with putting fully trust in the application of scientific methods.
The Groundwater Investigator also should have deep interest of groundwater investigation by studying and application of local geology hydro geology and geophysics. The investigator should not hurry for survey but providing necessary time with full interest and dedication then it would be possible to get expected results.
There should not be doubt amongst people regarding the result of application of science and technology for the purpose of groundwater Exploration. They should do maximum efforts to understand proper science and technology.
All the hydro geologist should work as a team and minimise the application of dowsing methods by which farmers are expending useless money for digging well and drilling bore well.
To minimise application of dowsing method the hydro geologists should have result oriented and qualitative detail study for groundwater exploration by scientific way. They should have the detail information regarding the latest research and development in the field of hydro geology. They also should have deep study in the subject so the farmers could be informed and motivated easily.
After a long work in NGOs and paid services to the clients in the field of Hydro geology, Geology and Exploration geology, the founders of Bhoojalshree are providing satisfied services to their client since 1990. Bhoojalshree is an established center for scientific services related to Ground water and subsurface investigation. These services are useful for well sitting (domestic/industrial) watershed development, water management, rain water harvesting, study of Geology & subsurface setup for different purposes & geotechnical problems.
Since 1990, we are being provided services to various NGOs, Government Departments, private as well as public companies & thousands of individual farmers in the state of Gujarat, Maharashatra and their adjoining states. So, we have a large experience of different geological setup.
We have instruments set of electrical resistivity meters for geo physical method. It includes computerized instrument & software. Besides that, the founder of Bhoojalshree group is well qualified; he did doctoral work in the field of hydrogeology & watershed development along with completion of advance studies in the subject matter in Germany, sponsored by The Government of India. It is notable that the founder himself and his colleague from Gujarat are well trained practically in the Central Government project implemented by Vigyan Ashram, a centre of Indian Institute of Education, Pune. They are well experienced and provide services themselves in the field with full devotion for qualitative work for more reliable and effective results.
