Maize meal is a coarse maize . Maize meal screening is a necessary and important process in maize processing. Now we will introduce you some knowledge on screening function of maize flour milling machine.

The screening principle: Grade materials into several ranks of different granular size depending on the automatic classifying characteristics of materials and using screens of different aperture.

The structure of maize meal grinding machine screening equipment.

1. The shelling system

It has a large capacity, the granular size and shape is different. It has a good automatic classifying performance, when screened, it's easy for the skins to float, the maize meal to touch the screening surface.

2. The posterior skin grinding of MAIZE FLOUR MILLING MACHINE

The skins are more while the flour is less. The volume of the materials is loose and they have a slow flow and low capacity. The granular size is very different from the front skin grinding. At the same time, the quality of mixed materials is low and flour is strongly adhesive to skins. So this screening system has a bad automatic classifying performance.

3. The endosperm grinding system

The materials contain a large quantity of endosperms, the particles of which are small. The endosperms having a good brittleness are grinded into large quantities of maize meal and small skins. Materials contain more flour than skin, the difference of granule size is big. Thus, this system has a small flow movement, difficult to separate flour and skin. So the screening area of this stage is much bigger than the shelling system.
