The casurina tree cultivation is very profitable in arboriculture.The casurina tree required by TNPL,Pugalur,Karur Dist,tamilnadu.Now present market rate is Rs 2000/-per ton.If we sell the caurina tree in local market through mediaters the price of the causrina will be Rs 1800/-per ton.In some places the the merchants are purchasing the casurina tree on outrate purchase i.e per acre Rs like that.We are having high yield and good variety promoted by tissue culture Sterile variety .In this variety of trees are belongs to male .So there is no flowering.An account of this the girth will grow fastly.One acre requires nearly 1800 saplings in the spacing diemension of 5'x5'.The maturity will be on completion of 5 years.The yield of sterile variety will be nearly 80-90 KGs.So one acre of tissue culture sterile casurina yield will be 140-160 tons per acre.

Is there any causurina variety yielding in 3 years
Hello Sivakumar Sir,
Is there any variety yielding in 3 years or can the same one you are referring can be cultivated in 3 years?
Can you also let us know the price/unit and what will be the age/length of the plant when bought from the nursery? Also how much time in advance we need to book for the saplings?

There are Energy Plantations that can be harvested in the second year and/or third year of plantation and yielding 40 TPA upwards depending on maintenance and soil conditions.
800 to 1,200 trees can be planted depending on the end use.
