Satavri Plantation

We have planted Satavri during Oct-11 end.
Is there any Manure or medicine to be used for protecting it from Deemak etc.
If yes then in which period.?Or for its best growth how to protect it.
Since we are first user we need expert advice or memebers guidance from this Forum

Check with the pesticide stores for the latest sprays against Termites.

Dear Sirs,

Usually satavari will be cultivated under organic farming by majority of medicinal plants growing farmers. In the last ploughing 6 to 8 tons of farm yard manure must be applied and along with that 25 Kgs of Potash is to be added . If FYM is not applied earlier please use vermi compost during inter cultivation . Generally inter cultivation must be done around plantations and must keep the land loose around the plant. Irrigation once in a month is required.

Apart from using the tubers for medicinal purposes and the plant stems can be used as filler ( back ground ) in flower decorations .
