Hello,
I will soon plant Sandal Wood saplings. I came to know that Sandal wood is a parasitic plant, needs nutrition from the host. Please tell me which is a good host for this.
Other way round, I have some exess Kaju plants - not of good variety, which I wanted to get rid off. Can these be used as Host.

u cannot use kaju as host u shuld only use plants that can fix nitrogen
sandalwood host needs to be a leguminous plant that can fix atmospheric nitrogen that is essential for sandalwood’s effective growth.
Cajanu Cajun is an important host in the beginning later it requires a permanent host.

some of the hosts for sandalwood are
Acacia acuminata
Allocasuarina huegeliana
Eucalyptus loxophleba subsp. loxophleba
 

The No. One nitrogen fixing plant in the world is the "Casurina" and best for hosting plant for sandal wood trees.
