Rose cultivation - Looking to diversify into dried flowers, pot pourri, rose oil etc

Dear all,

I am into cultivation of damask roses and golden champa on a large scale. I believe that dried and fresh damask rose petals are key indgredients for herbal products such as gulkand, rose oil, rose water, pot pourri etc.I also understand that dried rose petals are export potensive. I currently supply my products to the local flower market, but im looking to diversify into different varieties of sub products.
Request your guidance on the following matters:
1. From where can i get training on dried flowers preparation and marketing?
2. How can i make gulkand, rose water, potpourri etc at home?
3. Can anybody suggest additional uses of my products or give me business leads?

Contact Horticulture training center at Talegaon Pune they had a short duration course for dried flowers priced at about Rs. 5000

You can contact Indian Institute of Horticulture Research in Karnataka. They have developed the technical know how of dried flower technology. Also you can contact Floriculture & Landscape Division of IARI, New Delhi. You can also see websites of companies who are doing exports like Indo Global Exports; VAC International; SB Enterprises; Exoflor etc.
