Hi,
I use KERADIX OR SERADIX which is a rooting harmone ,available in nursery stores (Bengaluru).This is in white powder form and can be used as per the instruction given by the manufacturer.
IBA (Indole Buytic Acid) is highly costlier - around Rs.600/-per 5 gms.
In my opinion,you can use Keradix for both soft wood and hard wood cuttings.
