Hello All,

I am Vinod from Bangalore. I am planning to start a quail farming. Please answer the following questions:
1. Should I obtain license for quail farming?
2. If yes, then whom should I contact for the license.
3.Procedure for obtaining license.
4. From where do I need to purchase the chicks.

Anyone in the forum who has experience please answer my questions and advise me.

Hello sir,
1.To take up quail farming you need to take license.
2.There are two kinds, A.Black quail which is wild one found India weighs up to 100 gm, egg weight is 10gm another type popular in the world is B.Japanese quali which weighs up to 250 gm for cultivating second type you need license issued by Department of Animal husbandry of the states.
3.Please contact animal husbandry department.
4.To get birds for rearing contact.
