We provide Project Reports and Advisory Services for MEDICINAL PLANTS PROMOTION AND CULTIVATION PROJECT
FOR FARM ORGANISATIONS, AGRIBUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS, NGOs, SHGs, AND INDIVIDUAL FARMERS
UNDER SPECIAL SCHEME OF GOVERNMENT OF INDIA AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS: SUPPORTED BY GRANTS (30-100%) AND LOANS (BACK END SUBSIDY:20-75%)



Following are the activities / programmes that can be covered under the projects for promotion and/or cultivation of medicinal plants using grants (100% or 50%) and / or loans (20%, 50%, 75%):

A. Nurseries, Tissue Culture, Organic Farming Activities of Medicinal Plants:

01. Plant Nurseries: (Model Nursery-4 ha; Small Nursery-1 ha)
02. Seed Production units (Maximum 2.5 ha)
03. Tissue Culture Units
04. Organic Farminig (Individual Limit: 4 ha)

B. Cultivation Activities of Medicinal Plants:

01. Endangered and High demand species: No project cost limit: Back end Subsidy: 75%
02. Endangered and sources of supply draining: No project cost limit: Back end Subsidy: 50%
03. Other species in demand in industry & for exports: No project cost limit: Subsidy:20%

C. Post Harvest Management:

01. Drying sheds: 100% grant for SHGs/Cooperatives/Public sector; 50% for Private sector.
02. Storage Godowns: 100% of SHGs/Cooperatives/Public Sector; 50% for Private sector.

D. Processing and Value Addition:

01. Processing Unit: 40% credit link project based subsidy on plant and machinery, with cost limits.
02. Testing Laboratories: 30% subsidy with cost limits.
03. Market Promotion: 50% subsidy with cost limits. Additional 50% will be on discretion.
04. Market Intelligence: 100% subsidy with cost limits.
05. Buy Back interventions: 10% subsidy : Linked to quantum of procurement to be shared on 75:25 basis between farmers and purchasers/industry.
06. Marketing Infrastructure (Herbal markets): 100% grant for SHGs/Cooperatives/Public sector; For Private Sector: Credit linked back end subsidy 40% of capital cost in general areas and 55% in scheduled areas. Cost limits apply. Two categories: Rural and District level markets.
07. Testing charges (Reimbursements): Subsidy 50% of testing charges with limits per testing.
08. Organic / GAP certification: Subsidy as per NHM, with limit of 50 ha/per project
09. Crop Insurance: 50% of premium. No limits.
10. Medicinal Plants Cluster: Subsidy 60% of project cost, with no project cost limits.

E. Management Support:

01. State and district level organizations implementing the programmes, including additional manpower: 5% of total annual expenditure on appraised needs (Salary of contractual staff and management consultant to be paid under individual schemes of the project).
02. Project preparation cost and other overheads including transport, office expenses, hardware, software etc: 5% for Management support-Project based (No limits)
03. Other expenses including exposure visits including visits abroad: Within 5% available for management support.
