problem with ashwagandha sowing

Hi All,
We have sown ashwagandha 2 weeks back and the problem is that the weeds have grown upto 1 feet however germination of ashwagandha seeds just started.Since we are going for organic cultivation we can not use any chemical to kill weed.
If you are observing same problem or know the solution let us know what we can do??

Dear Rashi,

Weeding is not a new thing for any crop in rainy season. I am also a medicinal plant cultivator and involved in stevia cultivation. I am facing the same problem which is inevitable. And in rainy season, it is quite natural to have weeds. Its better to wait till rainy season ends. However, keep removing big weeds either manually or with chemicals.

but i believe because of weeding plant growth doesn't get hampered as the weed grown in field is very bushy and one can hardly find aswagandha plant there

I faced the same problem in my Aswagandha cultivation.Weeds are common.It is better to remove them manualy if you are not using chemicals.But do remvove it as early as possible.Other wise Ashwagandha growth will get hampered.
