precautions taken for banana plants

well i am planning to grow g9 banana plants .well to avoid leavespot diseases and other disesaes like panama whats the measure i have to take.well even if i dont find any disease is it nesassary to apply pestiside on monthly basis as a precaution measurement.can any body give details about it.

To avoid panama wilt soil fumigation is necessary. It is not necessary to apply pesticides without infestation if you are following the general cultivation practices.
