Can Eucalyptus and poplar be grown in Diara land of Bihar which gets flooded for around one month during rainy season. I want to know whether these trees can withstand waterlogging for a month or so. What is the commercial utilisation of these plants and how much yield in monetary terms can be expected from a 5 acre land. Are there ready buyers like industries in paper pulp or match stick/ plywood in nearby areas of Bhagalpur district in Bihar. I want to know whether poplar and eucalyptus wood is sold on per kg basis or its price is based on the girth of the plant.
