Pomegranate cultivation

Sir,
Myself prasanna, am engineer coming from agriculture family, am interested in pomegranate cultivation, i need guidance from your end. Regrading which area suitable for cultivation in Karnataka, how much cost required for the cultivation in 1 acre land, if any help provided by government like loans etc

* First visit nearest Horticulture college or research institute (If u r in Bangalore, visit IIHR, see garden and consult Dr Jalikop)
* Also visit few growers already into cultivation (Contact Mr Krishnegowda, Mysore, one of my client who has pomegranate garden. You can contact him at 9480557634)

* Also visit nearest Horticulture Department regarding government schemes/subsidies
* Pomegranate is basically suitable for dry areas like Koppal, Bagalkot, Hiriyur etc
