Hi

Project cost : Rs. 18-25 lakh/Acre depending the type of material used in construction

Land requirement : If you want to be a big player in the market better start with 4-5 acres

Machinery/equipment : Drip irrigation with facility for fertigation, power sprayers, misters etc

Workers : 4-5 daily (During harvesting, training, pruning etc you may require more)

Best crops : Colored capsicum, Summer beans, green peas in summer, English cucumbers, melons, gerberas etc

Demand ; If you supply consistently, there will be better and assured market

Scope: Very good, as you can produce nearly 3-4 times more per unit area compared to open field cultivation

Which area you cover ( I mean are you looking for Bangalore/Hosur area also). If yes, please provide me the costing and subsidy also. what will be comparitive advantage in near bangalore or in TN (hosur),. i am planning to setup one horticulture unit of about 2-3 acres.thanks
