Hello,

I am new to agriculture field and i am post graduate in Mech engineering
and presently working in central govt service in mumbai.

I am having 15 acrs of land in one of the villages of chitradurga dist of
Karnataka state. The land is a dry land and i am planning to invest for
water boring, drip irrigation system etc. Would anybody suggests which
crops are beneficial. I am intrested to have less maintainance crops.

Diversified farm plantations

Dear Venkat,

You have asked some suggestion regarding utilisation of your land in Chitradurga.Now a days the annual crop cultivation is very challenging one.At the same time we wnt avoid the same.Because everybody thinking like that we wnt get vegetables and green leaves.That also essential in our day to day affairs.So you go for mini forestry with our tradtinal cultivation like growing of vegetables and green leaves.We will serve the human community by planting trees.Its reduce the global warming and change the eratic season like setting of monsoon.And also now a days the farming community facing much problem and difficulties to meet their day to day affairs.Every farmers having much debits .But the Govt.closed their loans not their burden.In this circumstances what farmers do?.The farmers are producing the food coomodities but they are starving .If the farmers get good food for him and his family.If the stomach of farmers will fil with full food he will utilise his brain and the brain will automatically generate ideas with clear vision.For the above things farmers wants money from his land not from govt. or anybody by borrowing.So the farmers must schedule his land for his requirement and needs.By doing longterm ,shortterm, annuals and pernials crops with goat farm and dairy in small scale.Then only he will survive.Mr Venkat you are at Mumbai ,so you go longterm and shortterm investment plan with less management ,less water.Diversified mini forestry will serve your purpose.Your dream will materialise.
