is it mandatory to register all the teakwood trees in my farm which have planted my own to taluk office record
Can I cut and sell these trees without getting permission from Taluk office
In Karnataka Taluk office is taking me on ride as I am an Nri but I own about 4 acres of agricultural land

Hello teak farmers,

The government of India ghas encourage the farmers to plant and cultivate the value added timber trees subject to the some formalities and guidelines formulated by the Indian forests Department. So if any body want to plant the teak,Mahagany, sandalwood ,Redsanders and other agroforestry trees are to be enrolled in the village admin authority after the plantation in your land. For example if we plant the sandalwood in our land we will make necessary entries in the village admin authority within the time limit of minimum six months and the maximum period of one year. After making the necessary entries in the VAO authority and get the copy of the Village authority should be forwarded to the concerned Dist.Forset Officer along with the patta copy, sale deed document xerox copies with proper intimating the tree plantation. The DFO will maintain the permanent record upto harvest. So it's very easy to approach for getting cutting orders against maturity of the trees with minimum formalities. The same procedure will aplicable for revenue /Taluk office.
