Hello,
I would like to start plantaion/Agri business in around Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
I dont mind any kind of plantation, be it medicinal plants, fruits, flowers, vegetables. I just want good earning. So please suggest me in which plantation I can make good amount of profit.

Hello sir,
You can take up commercial horticulture crops like Flowers and vegetables as there is grate demand for flowers and vegetable and these are annual in nature(Flowers-Gladiolous,Marigold,Chrysanthemum,lilies,China aster and vegetables-Tomato,Potato,Brijal,Capsicum,Ghorgum etc) . you appears to be new to the field first please cultivate the annuals once you exposed to difficulties of cultivation and marketing you will get an experience which will help you to take up bigger ventures.
as per as Fruit crops is concern they are long durated minimum of 5 years of pre bearing period and there investment is also high.
so my suggestion is to get some experience meet progressive farmers near to your place share the difficulties faced by then try to over come the difficulties. for all horticulture activity there is subsidy so visit nearest horticulture department people for further details.

Thank you very much for your perfect answer. Yes i am totally new and venturing in to farming and related business because my whole idea is not stay in a city. I want to stay in some very small town, in nature, where I can breath fresh unpolluted air and eat natural and organic food. My main concern right now is to meet some right people like u who can guide me out and out. Yes u are right, I should get in touch with the people in to same profession of that specific area.
