Hello,
As far as I am concerned ....
* You will need around 1.2 - 1.5 lakhs per head. This will include the cost of animal, infrastructure and equipment.
* So, in that case, for a 20 Cow farm, you should get ready with atleast 25-30 lakhs.

All the Best,
Prakash.

Dairy Farm

1 lakh to 1.2 lakhs per head is correct. Excluding land cost, please note. Buy good equipment which will last and not cheap throw away type. Please find out the country of origin. You need chaff cutter(from punjab), Cow Mats, Milking equipment from a good manufacturer. Ensure that its not of poor quality, like the throw away type which you normally find in grey market.Look for quality certification like ISO. I saw somebody's post in this site few days before.Name might be European, but the stuff they sell in India is from a No Quality Nation, not European.
