Coconut cultivation

Now a days the coconut cultivation is not advisable when comparing with tamarind (PKM-I) cultivation. In tamarind varieties the PKM-I (promoted by TNAU) is very familier. The tamarind cultivation is a pension tree cultivation and also no fertiliser and pesticide will be required.if you have sufficient water and very fertile land the coconut cultivation is feasible. But the yield will be after 3 to 5 years onwards.(Depends on the varieties). But now a days we can cultivate the coconut for tender coconuts aswellas matured coconuts. In summer period the tender coconuts will be required in much quantity with reasonale price. We are having our own promoted and propagation coconut variety called "RaamGanga" having many salient features like early maturity i.e maximum three years .It can be used for tender coconuts & matured coconuts.the water content of the Raamganga will be minimum 600 Ml to 750 Ml(subject to the water source ,soil fertlity & climate). The Raamganga coconut tree is very short in height comparing with other existing DxT varieties.
