How can i get more yeild in palm oil cultivation. Now the age of the crop is 26 months.
What is the best inter crop that i can grow along with palm oil trees?

Thanks Mam

But I feel the trees you mentioned will grow bigger and taller and don't they effect the growth of palm oil trees?

Dear Sir, In order to get optimum yield you have to observe 3 things
1.Do not over prune the palm fronds. You may only remove the moribunds ( dry fronds )
2.Observe that all palms receive correct fertilizer dosages according to your leave sampling advice/fertilizer recommendations.
3.Observe that harvesting is done correctly with all loose fruits collected. No removal of fronds allowed at this age during harvesting operation.

To save cost on fertilizer and to provide better humidity please initiate EFB ( empty fruit bunch application 40 tons/ha ).Hopefully you do have LCC (cover crops ) earlier planted and the oil palm weevil established to boost better yields.
To avoid competition,it is best not to do intercropping. If you have to, then go for short term commercial crop such as Tapioca.Lastly my advise to you is to go and have a look at any commercial plantations nearby your area to catch up with their best agronomic practices.
TQ.

Other crop

In between the palm crop u can plant banana, coco and if u have cattle's use for grass(use different varies). For these 2 crops use dip processes that will be good n u can save water. Banana crop will grow in 6-8 month n coco grows in 3 years, but b careful with monkeys...
